Call it Atlantis if you wish but people who simply dismiss the FACTS that highly advanced civilization did infact exist at the end of the last ice age (13-14 000 years ago)are the same sort of people who would have told Columbus the world was flat. Facts? ok.
Nobody told Columbus "The world is flat !" ! Columbus was not right - he was wrong ! The question was not: Is the world flat or round ? The question was: Is the aequator about 40000 or about 28000 km long what Columbus believed ! Until the end of his life, he though he found the way to India by sea because he though the Earth was smaller than it is and not because he was the only one who believed that the Earth is NOT flat
He was completely wrong all his life !
#1 The Great Pyramid at Giza incorperates Pi. Take its height, multiply by 2Pi and you get the exact measurement of its base. (Interesting?, not yet) take its base, multiply it by 43,200 and you get the measurement of the earths equator. Why 43,200? It is not a random number, it is a calculated number obtained though precission.
How ? Base length today: 754 feet = 229,8 m Aequator: 40075 - 40077 km (2 sources, 2 numbers, any other ? ;-) )
Factor: 43596 - 43597
To get to 43200 the base would have to be 231,9 m.
But, according to http://touregypt.net/cheops.htm:
"The encasing marble which covered the outside of the pyramid has eroded or been removed over time. With this casing off, the pyramid lost 33 feet (11m) of all of its dimensions."
With 242,9 m we get a factor of 41246 !
So where is your precission ???
#2 The well known weathering effects on the Sphinx and the valley temple. Geologists have concluded that the weathering effects can be caused by non other than extreme amounts of rain. Rain in this quanity did not exist in Ancient times, but did during 11,000 BC. Besides, if the Sphinx HAS been coverd and uncoverd over the ages by sand, how do you get those weather effects if it has been covered for most of history?
Up to now there is really now *proof*, that the Sphinx is older than 3rd millenim BC.

Oh, I thougth it was Mars !
Yucatan, Mexico ALSO incorperates Pi. Take its height and multiply it by 4Pi and you get its base...EXACTLY. Not to mention the fact that both civilizations have pyramids.
*Why Pyramids? *
Perhaps because they are one of the most simple geometrical objects ? Perhaps because the are the easyest objects to build in big ?
