Mummies for fuel??

Hi there! I heard that mummies were used for fuel in steam engines early this century, or in the 1800s. This sounds so outragious, but I would love to know if it is a myth or not. If anyone knows of a reference where I could find out, I'd be gratefull. Thanks, Dennis.
