I've just come back from Egypt and was wondering if anyone could help me with the following: In the Ancient Egyptian museum, Cairo, shoved to one side in the Old Kingdom section is a large granite sarcophagus with 'Khufu' written on it, in hieroglyphs within a cartouche. I believe that orthodox Egyptology maintains that Khufu's final resting place was in the Great Pyramid, presumably in the granite coffer inside the King's chamber. If that is so, which Khufu owns the one in the Cairo museum? When and where was it found? Cheers,
