With the discoveries beginning in Napolean's time and continuing through the excavation of KV 5, is there any written record of the people of Israel's residency in ancient Egypt?? Certainly, their subjugation or departure would have triggered some meaningful record. Perhaps a record left by a workman, or other commoner would have documented their existance in Egypt.
